The short version
- The app has no accounts and no sign-up. Your favourites, tasbih count, reminders and settings stay on your device.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Personalised ads are only shown where the law allows or you agree.
- We use Google Firebase to set how often ads appear. We also count app use and which screens show ads, so we can place ads better.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- To remove the data on your device, uninstall the app. See Deleting your data.
- This policy describes version 6.0 and later. If your app is older, also read Older versions.
1. Who we are
The app is made and published by ImranQureshi.com (Imran Qureshi), India — called “we” or “us” in this policy. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions about privacy: support@contactimran.com.
By using the app you also agree to our Terms and Conditions and, if you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.
2. Data that stays on your device
The names, meanings, verses and recitations are stored inside the app. You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, location or contacts, and the app cannot read your photos. This data is stored only on your device, and we cannot see it:
- your favourite names;
- your tasbih count for each name;
- your app language and theme;
- your daily reminder choice, time and sound;
- whether you have Premium, and your ad consent choice;
- technical records the app needs to work: the ad settings it downloaded and when, when a full-screen ad was last shown, and when Play All was last unlocked.
Google’s software inside the app (for ads, the consent form and usage statistics) also keeps its own identifiers and your consent choice on your device.
If you uninstall the app, this data is removed from your device. If you have turned on your device’s own backup (Google backup on Android, iCloud on Apple devices), your device may include this data in that backup, which belongs to your Google or Apple account; we cannot see it. The only data that leaves your device for us or our service providers is described in sections 4 to 7.
If you share a name as an image, the image is made on your device and your device’s own share menu opens; you choose where it goes. If you choose to save it on an iPhone or iPad, your device asks your permission to add it to your photos. If you tap Share in Settings, the share menu opens with a short message and a link to the app. If you rate the app, the rating window comes from Google or Apple, and we do not see who you are. Links to our social media pages open in your browser or in that service’s app, under that service’s own privacy policy.
3. Daily reminders
The daily reminder is on by default, at 9:45 in the morning. Where your device requires it, the app first asks your permission to send notifications. It then schedules the reminder on your device, with one of the names for each day. Reminders are not sent from our server, and we do not collect a notification token. You can turn them off in the app or in your device settings.
4. Ads and tracking
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: banner ads, full-screen ads (for example when the app opens or between screens), and rewarded ads. To show and count ads, Google may collect your device’s advertising ID, your IP address and the approximate location it reveals, device and app information, diagnostic data such as crash and performance data, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this for advertising, analytics and to prevent fraud.
- Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland and other places where it is required): a consent form from Google asks if ads may be personalised. Ads load only after this step. You can change your choice later in Settings → Privacy choices (this button appears only where the choice is required).
- Apple devices: your advertising identifier (IDFA) is only used if you allow tracking when your device asks. You can change this in your device’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Settings → Privacy → Ads (the wording depends on your device).
- If you have Premium, the app shows no ads.
- Rewarded ads: you may choose to watch a video ad to use Play All for one hour, or to remove the watermark from one shared image.
To decide how often ads appear, the app downloads ad settings from Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) from time to time (normally once a day). This sends no personal data from the app, but Google sees your IP address when it answers.
More information: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Legal basis (EU/UK): your consent for personalised ads; our legitimate interest in funding a free app with non-personalised ads.
5. Service providers
We use these companies to run the app. They process data under their own privacy policies:
| Provider | What it does | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform | Ads, the ad consent form, and preventing ad fraud | Advertising ID, IP address and approximate location, device and app information, diagnostic data, ad interactions, your consent choice |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | App usage statistics (for example how many people open the app each day), and which screens show ads and how much those ads earn, so we can improve the app and place ads better | App opens, sessions, ad impressions, screens where ads are shown, ad format and ad earnings, ad clicks, in-app purchase events (product and price), device model, operating system and app version, country, an app-instance ID, and the advertising ID where your settings allow it |
| Google Firebase Cloud Firestore | Sends ad settings to the app | IP address |
| Apple and Google | App distribution, payments, subscriptions, ratings | See their own privacy policies |
Legal basis (EU/UK) for ad settings: our legitimate interest in a working app. For usage statistics: your consent. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, usage statistics are collected only if you agree in the consent form; everywhere else, only after the consent step has run.
Privacy policies: Google · Firebase · Apple.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our users or the app from fraud or abuse. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Purchases
Premium is sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store, as a monthly or yearly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. It removes ads, removes the watermark from shared images and unlocks Play All. If you bought “Remove Ads” in an earlier version of the app, it still counts. Google or Apple handle your payment; we never see your card or bank details. The app only learns which plan your store account owns and whether it is active, so it can unlock Premium.
7. Contacting support
When you tap Contact Us, the app opens your email app with a message to us. To help us fix your problem, the message already contains the app name and version, your app and device language, your device model code and system version, and whether you have Premium. You can read and change this text before you send it. If your device has no email app set up, the app opens contactimran.com instead. We use it only to answer you. You can also write to us through contactimran.com. How we handle support messages, and how to have them deleted, is explained in the contactimran.com privacy notice.
Legal basis (EU/UK): our legitimate interest in answering your request.
8. How long data is kept
- Data on your device: until you uninstall the app.
- Usage statistics: kept by Google Analytics for no more than 14 months (its longest standard setting), then only as totals.
- Support messages: as explained in the contactimran.com privacy notice. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Ad data: kept by Google under its own policies.
9. Deleting your data
Data on your device: uninstall the app. This removes your favourites, tasbih count, reminders and settings. There is no account to delete. A copy in your own Google or iCloud device backup is managed in your Google or Apple account settings.
Support messages: email support@contactimran.com with the subject “Delete my data”, from the address you wrote to us from. We reply within 3 business days and finish within 30 days.
Usage statistics are linked only to a random app-instance ID (and possibly your advertising ID), not to your name or email, so we cannot find them for one person. They are deleted automatically (see section 8).
Ads: reset or delete your advertising ID (see section 4). Data that Google holds is managed under its own policies.
Full steps, in English, Arabic, French, Indonesian, Turkish and Urdu: contactimran.com/delete-data.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- get a copy of your personal data;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- object to, or limit, how we use it;
- withdraw your consent at any time (for example in Settings → Privacy choices), without affecting what was done before;
- complain to your data protection authority.
California and other US states: we do not sell your personal information. Ads may use your advertising ID, which some state laws call “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can opt out by deleting or resetting your advertising ID on Android, by not allowing tracking on Apple devices, or, where shown, in Settings → Privacy choices. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
India: under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may contact our grievance contact, Imran Qureshi, at support@contactimran.com.
To use any right, email us. We answer within 30 days.
11. Where data is processed
We run the app from India. We do not run our own server for this app. Our service providers (Google and Apple) may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the EU/UK, they use legal safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
12. Security
The app keeps your favourites and settings on your device and does not send it to us. Data sent to our service providers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you and the authorities if the law requires it after a breach.
13. Children
The app is a general-audience app. It is not directed at children under 13, or under the age of digital consent where you live (up to 16 in some European countries), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child gave us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top. Please check this page from time to time. For important changes, we will also try to tell you in the app.
15. Older versions (before 6.0)
Versions of the app before 6.0 work as described above, with the differences below. Some features in sections 2 to 7 (for example the ad settings download, rewarded ads, sharing options and the reminder time) may not exist or may work differently in them. To see your version, open your device’s app settings or the store page. Updating to the latest version moves you to the policy above.
- Crash reports: they use Google Firebase Crashlytics to send a report when the app crashes, so we can fix bugs. A report contains crash details, device model, operating system and app version, and an installation ID. Crashlytics keeps reports for up to 90 days. Legal basis (EU/UK): our legitimate interest in a working app.
- Usage statistics: they also use Google Analytics for Firebase, including which screens you open and which names and buttons you tap. They do not wait for consent: on Android, collection can start before the consent form, and on iPhone and iPad there is no consent form. Legal basis (EU/UK): our legitimate interest in improving the app.
- Consent: on Android, older versions show Google’s consent form but have no Privacy choices button; to change your choice, update to 6.0 or reinstall the app. On iPhone and iPad, older versions do not show Google’s consent form. They ask for tracking permission with Apple’s prompt, and ads may load before you answer. Without your permission they do not use your advertising identifier (IDFA).
- Push notifications: besides the reminders made on your device, they can receive notifications we send through Firebase Cloud Messaging. For this, Firebase gives the app a random installation ID and notification token. A notification may open a web page inside the app, and that website sees your IP address. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- Reminders: the default time and the way the day’s name is chosen differ. Reminders are still made on your device.
- In-app messages (iPhone and iPad): they use Firebase In-App Messaging to show occasional messages inside the app. It uses a random Firebase installation ID and app usage events.
- Links (iPhone and iPad): while Google’s Firebase Dynamic Links service ran (until August 2025), opening one of its links could send your IP address and device details to Google to open the link.
- Widget: they include a home-screen widget that shows names from the app’s own content. It sends no data anywhere.
- Purchases: they sell a single one-time purchase, “Remove Ads” (some earlier Android versions also sold “99 Audio Files”); there are no subscriptions. Payment works as described in section 6.
- Contact and support: some older versions have no Contact Us button; others open contactimran.com, or open your email app addressed to another of our support addresses. We use such messages only to answer you, and you can ask us to delete them as described in section 9.
