In short. Most of our apps have no accounts, so there is nothing to close. What an app saves stays on your phone, and uninstalling the app removes it. Prayer Times & Athan Qibla is the one exception: it has an optional account, and section 2 shows how to delete it, or only its backup. If you have written to us, email us and we delete your messages.

1. Data on your phone

Most of our apps have no sign-up, so there is no account to delete (for Prayer Times & Athan Qibla, see section 2). Your settings, bookmarks and reminders are saved on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes them. On Android you can also openSettings, then Apps, choose the app, and tapStorage then Clear data.

2. Your Prayer Times & Athan Qibla account

Prayer Times & Athan Qibla lets you make an optional account, with your email address or with Google, Apple or Facebook, to back up your prayer and fasting tracker. The account holds your name, your email address, how you signed in, a password if you signed up with email, and your backup.

In the app: open Settings, then your profile, and tapDelete Account. This deletes your account and your backup from our server. If you signed in with Google or Apple, the newest version of the app asks you to confirm once more with Google or Apple. It then also deletes your sign-in record at Google Firebase, and for Apple it ends the app’s “Sign in with Apple” link.

Without the app:

  1. Email support@contactimran.com with the subject Delete my account.
  2. Send it from the email address of your account, so we can find it.
  3. We delete your account and your backup, and your sign-in record at Google Firebase if you used Google or Apple. We reply within 3 business days, and finish within 30 days.

If you signed in with Google or Apple and deleted your account in an older version of the app, your sign-in record at Google Firebase may still be there. Email us and we delete it within 30 days.

Your Google, Apple or Facebook account itself is not touched. You can remove the app’s access in that company’s account settings. Only the app’s own sign-in record is deleted, as described above.

Delete only your backup, and keep your account:

  1. Email support@contactimran.com with the subject Delete my backup.
  2. Send it from the email address of your account, so we can find it.
  3. We delete your backup from our server, reply within 3 business days, and finish within 30 days. Your account stays open.

Whichever way you choose, copies kept inside our server backups are deleted automatically within 30 days.

3. Messages you sent us

If you wrote to us, by email, through this website or from inside an app, you can ask us to delete those messages:

  1. Email support@contactimran.com with the subject Delete my data.
  2. Send it from the email address you used with us, so we can find your messages. Tell us which app it was about.
  3. We reply within 3 business days, and finish within 30 days.

We never ask for an identity document.

4. What we delete

Your messages and the details that came with them, from our inbox, our contact form service and our support tools. If your message became a bug report, we remove your details from it. We also ask the services that help us to delete their copies.

5. What we may keep

  • A short note that you asked us to delete your data, and when we did it. This lets us prove we did it.
  • Records the law requires us to keep.

Deleted email can stay in backups and in the email service’s bin for up to about 30 days before it is gone for good.

6. Data held by Google, Apple and other companies

Some apps use services from other companies, such as Google’s advertising and crash reports. Those companies receive data from the app directly, linked to your phone rather than to your name, so we cannot find it or delete it for you. You can control it yourself:

  • Android: open Settings, then Privacy, thenAds, and reset or delete your advertising ID. (On some phones this is underGoogle, then Ads.)
  • iPhone and iPad: open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking, and switch off Allow Apps to Request to Track.
  • Uninstalling the app stops it sending anything more.
  • Purchases and subscriptions are recorded by Google Play or the App Store. Ask them about those records.

Each app’s privacy policy, linked from its store page, names the services it uses.
