These terms are an agreement between you and ImranQureshi.com (Imran Qureshi), India (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you use the app on an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies.

1. Using the app

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You must not copy, change, resell or redistribute the app, try to extract its source code, make derivative versions, or use our name and trademarks. The app and all its content, design, trademarks, copyright and database rights belong to us or our licensors.

2. Prayer times, Qibla and dates

Prayer times, Qibla direction, Hijri dates, and Suhoor and Iftar times are calculated. They depend on your location, the calculation method and settings you choose, your phone’s clock and time zone, and the sensors in your device. A phone compass can be disturbed by metal, magnets and other electronics.

We work hard to make them accurate, but we cannot promise they are always exact. Please check with your local mosque or a trusted local authority, especially for the start and end of fasting and for Ramadan and Eid dates, which may follow local moon sighting. Alarms and notifications depend on your phone’s settings (for example battery saving, silent mode or notification permission) and may not always sound.

3. Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, the information you give must be true and you are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app or by email, as explained in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that is used to abuse the service, break these terms or break the law.

4. Pro, subscriptions and payments

  • The app is free with ads. Pro removes ads and unlocks extra features. It is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. “Lifetime” means for as long as we offer the app and it works on your device. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may differ by country.
  • Payment is taken by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iPhone) when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the same price unless we tell you of a change in advance, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings (Subscriptions). Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • If an offer includes a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their refund policies. If you have a problem with a purchase, please also contact us.
  • If you change phones, Pro comes back by itself when the phone uses the same Google or Apple account. You can also tap Restore on the Pro screen.
  • Rewarded ads: you may choose to watch a video ad to unlock some Qibla compass designs for one hour. This is not a purchase and can be changed or ended at any time.

5. Ads

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. We do not control the content of every ad and do not endorse the products advertised. If you see an ad you think is inappropriate, please tell us.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the app in a way that breaks the law, harms other people, disturbs our servers, or tries to get around Pro, ads or security. Do not create accounts with false details or in someone else’s name.

7. Internet and device

Some features (sign-in, backup, city search, ads) need an internet connection. Your mobile operator may charge you for data, including roaming abroad. If you are not the bill payer for the device, we assume you have the bill payer’s permission. We recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone: it can make your phone less secure and the app may not work properly.

8. Changes and updates

We may update the app, add or remove features, or change these terms. The app may need a newer version of Android or iOS over time, and you may need to install updates to keep using it. We may stop offering the app. If we stop offering Pro subscriptions, you will not be charged again. We will change the “Last updated” date when these terms change. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.

9. Third-party services

The app uses services from other companies, such as Google, Apple and Meta, which have their own terms: Google Terms · AdMob · Firebase · Meta · Apple Media Services.

10. No warranty and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we give no warranty that it will always be accurate, available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss caused by relying only on the app’s times, directions or dates. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have by law as a consumer and that cannot be excluded.

11. Ending these terms

You may stop using the app at any time and delete it. If you break these terms, we may end your right to use the app. When the terms end, you must stop using the app and delete it. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example 2, 10 and 12) continue to apply.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you may bring a claim in your local courts. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to solve the problem.
